I am personally still on CS2, but one of my larger clients upgraded to CS3 about 6 weeks ago, which I have now had a chance to work with for a while… is it just me being set in my old ways or have Adobe gone a bit off-track with their new tool palettes?
Here’s a nice tip – when you are drawing a marquee selection in Photoshop (little marching ants selection) did you know you can move the selection WHILST you are still drawing it – nope me neither until very recently!
Sometimes you need to merge all the existing layers in your document into one layer to either manipulate in a new document or in the existing document – and there is a great little shortcut for this!
You don’t always have the luxury of a dual monitor setup and single monitor setups can get very cluttered with lots and lots of palettes – even if you use the palette dock. Use these simple shortcuts to make the most of your workspace so you can see more of your image when you are working.

This is a great little tip, especially if you have a-lot of layers! Sometimes you want to move a layer up or down in the layers palette and at the same time keeping an eye on your artwork to see how it is effecting your composition.
