Adobe CS3 interface - what have they done to our tool palettes?!

I am personally still on CS2, but one of my larger clients upgraded to CS3 about 6 weeks ago, which I have now had a chance to work with for a while… is it just me being set in my old ways or have Adobe gone a bit off-track with their new tool palettes?

OSX update reaps CS2 performance improvements on Intel Apple Macs

CS2 multiple layer selection and linking, mixed opinions!

I have finally had a chance to play around and review Photoshop CS2 - and it seems that they have overhauled the layers palette functionality, which has been pretty much left un-touched for a while. The cost of Photoshop - reasonable or extortionate?

I have heard time and time again that the cost of Photoshop is too high, which invariably comes from students and non-professional designers, but lets just say that I have heard it mentioned on the grapevine by some not-so-reputable professional design outfits too - that could easily afford to buy it and no-doubt make a-lot of money out of it!
