CS2 in the wild!

Its an exciting time for us creatives when Adobe launch a new release of our favorite application -and they certainly havent pulled any punches this time with the launch of a full update to pretty much every major graphics application they publish, under the name CS2 (Creative Suite).

More coverage and comments to follow, but of particular interest is, of-course Photoshop CS2 and InDesign CS2. From what i have read on Photoshop there are some pretty useful new features to arm ourselves with, including the exciting warp tool to mapping images onto objects and this new perspective compensation tool whereby you tell Photoshop the perspective and it auto distorts images depending upon this info. There is yet another touch-up tool called the ‘Spot Removal Tool’ that seems much along the lines on the excellent heal tool. Oh, and Photoshop gets a ‘red eye removal’ brush…um, but we had that one covered boys!

My only concern is the speed of this new version-many studios are just catching up on the upgrade for the original CS suite-I personally feel this is a little bit too soon, but hey-thas life!
