Adjusting figures and settings in Photoshop quickly

There are many times when you want to be keeping an eye on your image as things are adjusted, rather than looking from dialogue box setting field to image to setting to image yadda yadda yadda and back again-we are talking rsi on your eyes…not healthy for any budding Photoshop Ninja!

Think of a Filter, you usually need to look at the setting field to type a new figure or drop down a list…not after you have learned this little trick!

Nice and simple one for everyone, but just one of those things you may have missed-in most setting fields where there is a figure-eg leading or kerning when you have the type tool active, or filter dialogue, simply click on the field with the figure in and instead of using it normally with the drop down list or by typing a figure in, just use the up and down cursor arrows to change the figure or setting!

This shortcut works almost anywhere you have a field with a figure in… in-fact you will find it works in most Adobe applications, including InDesign and Illustrator.
