Resizing an image to the dimensions of another

Sometimes you have two images and you need to make one the same size as the other. You could check out the image dimensions of the first image and write it down (or remember it!)… but of-course there is an easier way to perform this operation!

Simply have both the image with the desired dimensions and the one you want to resize open. Whilst having the image you want to resize active, select ‘Image Size’ but instead of typing in figures, notice that the ‘Window’ menu at the top is still active. Click on it and go down to your image with the desired dimensions and as if by magic (sort-of!), the dimensions in the transfered into the Image Size dialogue box for you – nice!

Obviously, if you have more than one or two images to resize you would be best to set-up an action to batch perform this on a range of images, but it’s a nice little quickie!
