Stopping Photoshop performing an action half way through

Sometimes you realise half-way through applying a filter, transformation or anything else in Photoshop where you see a progress bar appear that you have made a mistake. You dont want to waste even more time waiting for that progress bar to fill-up before just hitting undo – thats no way for a Ninja to use Photoshop and sometimes that cancel button just doesnt seem to want to work!

You can stop Photoshop in its tracks by simply hitting Escape – or to be more precise holding it down seems to work best! This saves valuable time, scratch disk and ultimately means you watch less progress bars filling up – fantastic!
