Moving your marquee selection whilst drawing it in Photoshop

Here’s a nice tip – when you are drawing a marquee selection in Photoshop (little marching ants selection) did you know you can move the selection WHILST you are still drawing it – nope me neither until very recently!

Simply hold down space whilst you are drawing your marquee, and you’ll find you have the ability to move the marquee selection – then simply let go of space and you back to editing that marquee size!

This is great when you are trying to draw circular marquees as they can be quite tricky to line up with circular elements.

Doesn’t work with the lasso tools… damn! Works fine with the marquee tools though, as you said ;)

Thank you! It really helped me, I was stuck trying to find out how to move my selection – I would never figure out to hold the Space button :)
