Creating curved guides in Photoshop

Creating curved guides in Photoshop – yes you read that right… but guides not as you know them!

Although it is not possible to create actual curved guides in Photoshop, you can cheat and use a drawn path that can be easily hidden to use as a guide. If you have snapping on, it will still act like a guide allowing you to perfectly align layers and elements to your curved path guide…nice!

Just remember to save your work path in the Paths palette – just drag it down onto the new paths icon at the bottom. This will then get saved into the document so you can come back to it and edit it to your hearts content in the future!
